Your tasks

Design and deliver innovative IT projects on GCP, with a strong focus on data-driven architectures and modern engineering practices
Automate deployments and CI/CD workflows using GCP-native tooling (Cloud Build, Terraform, etc.)
Build and evolve cloud distributed systems with an eye toward scalability and cost efficiency§ Provide best-practice consulting and support in the GCP domain
Collaborate within the synvert group on GCP-related topics
Identify opportunities and risks in customer cloud projects, spotting “Land & Expand” moments where we can extend business impact
Engage customers with clear, persuasive communication—from technical deep-dives to high-level roadmaps, adapting style to audience
Coaching of practice members, contributing to the success of the GCP cluster at synvert

What do we expect from you?

> 4 years of experience in the area of Cloud/ Data Engineering & consultancy
Experience with hands-on implementation of the GCP Cloud/ Data Engineering projects
GCP certifications (e.g. Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Data Engineer) or a strong record of delivering successful GCP projects
Excellent programming skills in Java, Python, or Scala (other languages a plus)
Strong expertise in GCP data services (e.g. BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub) and designing scalable architectures
Best practices in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Deployment Manager, Pulumi) with a focus on security and compliance
Bachelor/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Information Management or in similar qualifications
Openness to occasional travel (up to 30% of the time)
German, English: fluent in speaking & writing
Good presentation and communication skills

Deine Aufgaben

Entwicklung und Umsetzung innovativer IT-Projekte auf GCP, mit starkem Fokus auf datengetriebene Architekturen und moderne Engineering-Praktiken.
Automatisierung von Deployments und CI/CD-Workflows unter Verwendung GCP-nativer Tools wie Cloud Build und Terraform.
Aufbau und Weiterentwicklung verteilter Cloud-Systeme mit Blick auf Skalierbarkeit und Kosteneffizienz.
Beratung und Unterstützung nach Best Practices im GCP-Bereich.
Zusammenarbeit innerhalb der synvert-Gruppe zu GCP-relevanten Themen.
Identifikation von Chancen und Risiken in Kunden-Cloud-Projekten, einschließlich der Erkennung von „Land & Expand“-Momenten, um den geschäftlichen Nutzen zu erweitern.
Ansprache von Kund*innen durch klare und überzeugende Kommunikation – von technischen Deep-Dives bis hin zu übergeordneten Roadmaps, angepasst an die jeweilige Zielgruppe.
Coaching von Teammitgliedern und Beitrag zum Erfolg des GCP-Clusters bei synvert.

Was erwarten wir von Dir?

> 4 Jahre Erfahrung im Bereich Cloud- und Data Engineering sowie in der Beratung.
Praktische Erfahrung in der Umsetzung von GCP Cloud- und Data Engineering-Projekten.
GCP-Zertifizierungen, wie z.B. Professional Cloud Architect oder Professional Data Engineer, oder nachweislich erfolgreiche Umsetzung von GCP-Projekten.
Exzellente Programmierkenntnisse in Java, Python oder Scala (weitere Programmiersprachen von Vorteil).
Fundierte Expertise in GCP-Datenservices wie BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc und Pub/Sub sowie im Design skalierbarer Architekturen.
Erfahrung mit Best Practices in Infrastructure as Code, z. B. Terraform, Deployment Manager oder Pulumi, mit Fokus auf Sicherheit und Compliance.
Bachelor- oder Masterabschluss in Informatik, Physik, Mathematik, Informationsmanagement oder vergleichbaren Fachrichtungen.
Bereitschaft zu gelegentlichen Reisen (bis zu 30 % der Arbeitszeit).
Fließend in Deutsch und Englisch, mündlich und schriftlich.
